I’m learning to embrace my limits.
With every passing year, I’m realizing more and more that the sovereign boundaries that God has placed on my life are gifts to appreciate, not obstacles to overcome.
But, more than just gifts to appreciate, I’m also convinced that my God-given physical, financial, mental, emotional, and relational limits are opportunities for God to glorify Himself through my weaknesses.
The gap between the most we can do in our own strength (because of our limits) and the most God can do in His strength is the “God Zone,” and the “God Zone” is where I want people to experience the fruit of my life.
I don’t want people to experience the best of what I can do physically. I want people to experience the best of what God can do in spite of my physical limits.
I don’t want people to experience the best of what I can do financially. I want people to experience the best of what God can do in spite of my financial limits.
I don’t want people to experience the best of what I can do emotionally. I want people to experience the best of what God can do in spite of my emotional limits.
The best version of me is what God does through me after I’ve done my best.
Now don’t get me wrong, this doesn’t mean I’m not going to do everything I can to stretch myself beyond the limits others might put on me or even the limits I might put on myself.
But, what it does mean is that I will joyfully embrace the truth that:
God’s limitless power starts where my limited power ends.
Where I can’t, God can.
This is the “God Zone,” and it’s where I want to experience more of the next year of my life.
What would it look like for you to join me?
God is in me! I can’t do anything without Him! He’s part of me. I include Him in my everyday life! I talk to Him like I talk to my BFF! Learn that and you’ll never be alone!
